We are seeking a Accounts Payable Officer to provide support for our Finance Department.

This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Ballarat in line with our hybrid working model.

About the role

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

  • Undertake accounts payable assessment and processing for delivery of accurate payment of creditor accounts within AV policies, procedures and delegations
  • Act as a first point of contact for creditor queries, maintaining a high standard of customer service to enhance AV's reputation
  • Maintain accurate records and maintain confidentiality of account details compliant with record management, data security and privacy legislation
  • Ensure general ledger coding and other data for all invoices to be entered into Oracle Financials is accurate and if there are any discrepancies, resolve and amend where applicable
  • Provide ad hoc Oracle reports, general administrative duties, ad hoc Reception support and other tasks as required

About you

To be considered for this position you will possess a certificate in Business/Finance or equivalent (desirable). Other requirements include:

  • Experience working in an accounts payable department and competent at intermediate level in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
    • Proven proficient accounts payable skills with an ability to meet performance output targets
    • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and quality control
  • Professional and mature with sound judgement to ensure matters of a confidential or sensitive nature are handled appropriately and diplomatically
    • Diligent with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Established problem solving skills to enable the identification of issues and the judgement to determine appropriate courses of action
