Job Description

We are seeking a BI Designer to ensure the accuracy of architecture and data design and resolve design level issues. The role will also and take ownership of the data warehouse interfaces and presentation designs and support Data Warehouse governance. This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Blackburn North in line with our hybrid working model.
This position is entitled to Commuted Availability Allowance (CAA), the successful candidate is required to be available outside of ordinary working hours to provide advice, support or authoritative direction in dealing with emergency or time critical incidents or issues.
About the role
Reporting to the Business Intelligence Team Leader, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:
- Provide effective and efficient management of design for AV Data Warehouse, Analytics and Reporting
- Ensure Data Warehouse alignment is consistent with architectural standards for the introduction of all new BI services
- Provide technical recommendations for system improvements and enhancements to AV's Data Warehouse, Analytics and Reporting
- Contribute to the regular updating of BI policies, processes and procedures in line with relevant legislation
About you
To be considered for this position you will possess a degree or relevant industry certification with proven subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Other requirements include:
- Demonstrated substantial experience in Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence
- Previous experience with Oracle systems and relevant Oracle tools
- Demonstrated experience in the use of at least one BI tool and ETL tool
- Experience in OACS, Azure Cloud Platform, Databricks will be beneficial
