We are seeking a Senior Manager Planning & Corporate Finance to lead and manage the provision of a range of financial services within Ambulance Victoria (AV) including budget development, forecasting, costing and pricing, projects and financial analysis. This is a full-time, permanent position. While WFH/hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Doncaster in line with our hybrid working model.
About the role
Reporting to the Financial Controller this position will develop strong working relationships and provide advice across AV on financial matters including budget performance, business case development and delivery of financial aspects of major projects. Responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:
- Develop AV's budget strategy for approval by the Executive and manage the efficient development of AV's budgets
- Develop and prepare formal analysis and projections for business cases, briefing notes, budget papers and reports
- Manage the development of revenue and expenditure forecasts to facilitate strategic decision making
- Manage the development of costing models for tender evaluations, EBAs, product costing framework, margin tables, cost allocation models and other projects
- Oversee the ongoing management of a suite of reports, methodologies and frameworks to serve the changing needs of business stakeholders, ensuring financial alignment with AV's strategic direction
- Provide strong and effective leadership to the Planning & Corporate Finance team, fostering a culture of professional development, leadership and continuous improvement
About you
To be considered for this position you will possess a tertiary degree in business, accounting, or commerce or relevant industry certification with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and high-level relevant experience. Other requirements include:
- CPA Australia or ICAA qualified (or equivalent)
- Extensive demonstrated experience in management and reporting of financial issues in a large complex organisation
- Significant demonstrated experience in costing and financial analysis
- Proven experience leading a team (desirable)
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and relationship building skills to enhance relationships throughout the organisation at all levels
