We are seeking Senior BI Solution Specialist to provide support for our Data & Solutions Department. This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Blackburn North in line with our hybrid working model. 

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Business Intelligence, responsibilities of this position include but not limited to:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Cloud Enterprise Data Warehouse
  • Develop comprehensive data models and integrate data from multiple sources to create cohesive BI solutions
  • Oversee the design, architecture, development, implementation, management, and support of BI reporting and ELT/ETL processes
  • Lead engagements with end users to gather requirements, ensuring proper management of repositories, data catalogues, Power BI data sets, and technology service layers
  • Lead the configuration management and administration of the Business Intelligence environment 

About you

To be considered for this position you will possess a postgraduate degree in information technology discipline or industry certification with extensive experience, or an equivalent combination of training and high level experience in a relevant industry. Other requirements include but not limited to:

  • Proven experience in Azure and Oracle Cloud architectures and services
  • Extensive experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
  • Advanced proficiency in ADF, Databricks, Azure DevOps, OAC, R, Python, Power BI and GIS
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify issues and determine appropriate courses of action to achieve long-term organizational goals
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual and distributed team environments, with strong team skills to actively participate and contribute to both team and individual goals
